Terms of use
Last updated: October 28, 2026 · version 2.0
This translation is provided for convenience; the French version prevails.
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms of use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Festiplan, an online party planning service published by Mr Romain Lenoir, sole proprietor (SIRET 919 320 994 00024; see the legal notice).
By creating an account, you accept these Terms and the privacy policy. The accepted version and the date of acceptance are recorded. A guest without an account (invitation link) accepts them for their use of the service.
2. The service
Festiplan lets you plan parties (invitations by link, guest replies, items and shopping list, tasks, budget and repayments, kitty, carpooling, chat, photos and videos), find your friends, discover your friends’ parties and public parties, and, for venues, publish their events.
Festiplan is a tool: it does not organize parties, is not responsible for them and is not involved in the relationships between hosts, guests and venues.
3. Free of charge
Festiplan is free, with no ads and no subscription. Nothing is sold on it, so there are no terms of sale. If a paid offer were ever introduced, it would come with terms of sale shown and accepted before any payment.
4. Account
Sign-up is reserved for adults (18 or older). You agree to provide accurate information, to create only one account and to keep your password confidential: you are responsible for what is done from your account.
Your display name, username and photo are visible to members you are connected with (friends, shared parties, and depending on your “Near me” and “friends of friends” settings).
5. Hosting a party
The host is solely responsible for their party: compliance with the law (noise, safety of the premises, capacity, insurance), the ban on serving alcohol to minors and any required permits, and the accuracy of the information published (date, place, access).
Hosts only add people who agreed to be invited, only publish someone else’s address with their consent, and respect participants’ image rights.
6. Public parties and meeting people
A public party is visible to signed-in members, who can ask to come; the host accepts or declines each request. Festiplan does not verify members’ identities. For a first meeting, choose a public place, tell someone close to you and stay mindful of your safety.
Any inappropriate or dangerous behavior can be reported (see “Report content”); the account concerned may be suspended.
7. Money: budget, repayments and kitty
Festiplan calculates balances and suggested repayments but does not make, receive or hold any payment. “Pay back” and “Pay” only open the recipient’s chosen payment method (PayPal.me, Revolut) or show their IBAN; “I’ve paid” records what the person declares.
The kitty is declarative: everyone states their contribution and pays the designated host directly, who confirms receipt. It is meant for a party’s shared expenses among its participants (gift, shopping, rental) and must not be used to raise funds from the public or for any commercial activity. Payments, any fees and disputes between members are solely a matter for the people concerned and the payment services they use.
8. Member content
You remain the owner of what you post (photos, videos, messages, descriptions). You grant the publisher, only while it is published and for the purposes of the service, the right to host it, adapt it technically (lighter photos, thumbnails) and show it to authorized people (a party’s participants, members for a public party).
Content that is illegal or infringes others’ rights is prohibited: hate, harassment, violence, pornography, invasion of privacy or image rights, infringement, third parties’ personal data without their consent, unsolicited advertising. The publisher may remove reported or clearly illegal content and suspend the account concerned.
9. Acceptable use
It is forbidden to try to access other members’ data, to scrape the member directory or parties, to deliberately overload the service, to impersonate a person or a venue, or to use Festiplan for commercial prospecting.
10. Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these Terms. You can export your data and delete your account at any time from “My account”.
11. Availability and liability
The publisher does its best to keep the service available and secure, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access: maintenance interruptions may occur.
The publisher is not responsible for how parties go, for meetings between members, payments between members, content posted by members, or third-party services opened from Festiplan (payment methods, maps, calendars). Where it is liable, its liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Suspension and deletion of the account
You can delete your account at any time from “My account”: deletion is immediate and permanent (your parties go to a co-host if there is one, otherwise they are deleted; your photos, videos and messages are erased).
The publisher may suspend or delete an account that breaks these Terms, after notifying you, except in urgent cases (clearly illegal content, other people’s safety).
13. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may change. Any significant change is announced to you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you disagree, you can delete your account.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, first write to contact@festiplan.fr to look for an amicable solution. If you are a consumer, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge (articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).
Failing an amicable solution, and subject to mandatory consumer protection rules, the courts within the jurisdiction of the Versailles Court of Appeal (France) have jurisdiction.
